Worried About HIV? The following is a selection of services offering confidential advice and information on HIV and AIDS. Helplines NATIONAL
SEXUAL HEALTH LINE The
National Sexual Health Line is UK-wide and provides confidential advice and
information on aspects of HIV, AIDS and sexual health. The Helpline
can also provide UK wide referrals to specialist services. Open 24 hours
a day, seven days a week. All calls are taken by trained and paid staff.
It is not a counselling service, but gives you details of local helplines
& services if needed. Language

VOICE The service covers the Lothian area. Positive Voice is a self help organisation for people living with HIV and people directly affected by the virus. Positive Voice provides peer support and advocacy. All the support is provided by volunteers who are themselves living with or directly affected by HIV. We provide advocacy both to individuals and communities of people living with HIV. The drop in at Positive Voice runs on Mondays 12 - 8pm and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 12 - 4pm. Positive
Voice offers free complementary therapies during the drop in. AIDSMAP AIDSMAP offers a free search facility to enable you to find free confidential NHS sexual health clinics in your area. |
