Monday 13th February 2012

Hepatitis Scotland, in partnership with HIV Scotland and Terrence Higgins Trust, are holding a set of briefing sessions and focus groups across Scotland to give, and gather, information on the benefits system, and proposed welfare reforms.

Of relevance for workers and those personally affected by Blood Borne Viruses (BBVs) the day will be split up into two parts (see below).

Morning Briefing Session - 10:30am – 12:30pm
The sessions will be open to both workers and people affected by BBVs who want to find out information on welfare rights and reforms, and what the changes mean for people living with Blood Borne Viruses - HIV, HBV, HCV.

Afternoon Focus Groups: 1:30pm – 3:30pm
The focus groups, held in the afternoon, are aimed specifically at people living with HIV, HCV, HBV, and will provide the opportunity for them to express their views on what the changes will mean to them.

If you would prefer, you can give your opinion in a 1:1 survey.

Workers/professionals are being encouraged to support service users affected by BBVs to attend - and where possible also confirm their attendance with Lesley. Public transport expenses will be given to those affected by BBVs, please retain receipts.

To confirm your attendance please contact: lesley@hepatitisscotland.org.uk or call 0141 225 0419
