This graph shows the total number of individuals diagnosed each year since the introduction of the first HIV tests to the present day, and the way the virus was contracted.

'IDU' refers to 'injecting drug use'.
'MSM' refers to 'men who have sex with men'.
'Heterosexual' is defined as sex between men and women.
'Other' includes any other ways someone contracted HIV.
